Marius Giedraitis has been appointed as the new CEO of Autokurtas, the company operating one of the largest heavy-duty vehicle repair networks in Lithuania. He replaces Vytautas Garbenis, the founder of the company, who has been managing the company for many years. From October 1, Garbenis serves as the chairman of the board of the company and remains one of its shareholders. Before the appointment, Arvydas Saročka, the main shareholder of Autokurtas, was the acting CEO of the company.
“In order to comprehensively renew ourselves and to improve the quality of services provided to customers, we consistently pursue the path of change. One of our current top priorities is to successfully complete the renewal of the team. The most important goal set for next year is the accelerated development of our key activity, repair of commercial vehicles. This is why I am glad that Marius has joined us and I am sure that his ambitious aspirations and strong management experience in the field of integrated logistics solutions will allow us to successfully implement our plans,” says Saročka.
Giedraitis has worked for 12 years at Talga, a provider of customs brokerage and warehousing services, where he has held the position of director for the last 6 years. According to him, joining a company that has already accumulated many years of experience and earned the trust of customers is a significant challenge.
“Over 21 years of its activities, Autokurtas has become one of the largest companies operating heavy-duty vehicle repair networks in Lithuania. Its clients include logistics, manufacturing, and trading companies as well as state institutions. It will be a big challenge to grow and to raise the bar even higher at the same time. However, I am sure that together with the renewed team we will not only successfully continue our activities, but will also implement the set development goals both in Lithuania and abroad,” says Giedraitis.
Autokurtas is engaged in the repair and comprehensive maintenance of all makes of tractors, trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles as well as the sale of truck parts. The company already has branches in four major cities in the country, which repair more than 1 100 commercial vehicles each month. Last autumn, the company also became the official representative of Ford Trucks in Lithuania.
The majority of Autokurtas shares (67%) is held by PitStop Partners, a company managed by Arvydas Saročka. The remaining shares belong to Vytautas Garbenis, who has been managing the company until now, and Vytautas Garbenis Jr., the company’s head of commerce.
In 2019, the company’s income amounted to more than EUR 10 million, with a net profit of EUR 195 000.
